As Verdansk is an expansive city with multiple different zones and many points of interest, you will be able to get around via vehicles so that they may reach their destination quicker. ATVs, tactical rovers, SUVs, cargo trucks, and helicopters will all be available for players to commute in.
In Battle Royale, players can form squads of up to three people and compete in matches of up to 150 players to try and be the last squad standing. Players will have to fight other teams while escaping the gas that is constantly closing in on the map. Call of Duty: Warzone has a unique feature that will be new to battle royale games, The Gulag. After your first elimination, you will become a “Prisoner of Warzone” and have to fight in a 1v1 match against another player in The Gulag with the winner receiving redeployment.
If for some reason, you don’t survive the 1v1. You can still redeploy if your teammates pay in-match cash to redeploy you. In-match cash can be earned from looting or via completing contracts. Contracts are another new feature in Call of Duty: Warzone that when activated by squads, will have the squad complete one of multiple types of contracts. Contracts can have squads find and open supply boxes or find and secure a location, among various other things. Once a squad completes a contract, that squad will earn in-match cash and other special rewards.
The other game mode, Plunder will have squads competing to earn the most in-match cash. This means squads will be looting everything they can in a map and defeating other squads so that they may take their in-match cash.
