THQ Nordic released an investment report earlier today where they reviewed their sales for the first quarter of the year. The report also detailed THQ Nordic’s future expectations along with a couple of new game announcements.
First, Dead Island 2 is still in development and will now be developed by Dambuster Studios, who is the development team behind Homefront: the Revolution. Dead Island 2 was first announced way back in 2014. Not much has been heard about it since leading many to believe that it was canceled. That does not seem to be the case though as it is now in development with a new development team.
Also revealed is the fact that Steve Ellis, who is one of the creators behind Timesplitters, is joining THQ Nordic. This is to help plan out the future of the series of Timesplitters. This means there will eventually be a new Timesplitters coming from one of the guys who created the series.
Lastly, a new IP will be coming from THQ Nordic owned development studio Fishlabs and a new Saint’s Row game is now in development by Volition. While no release dates were given for any of the games in the investment report it is nice to see that THQ Nordic is working on various new games.
