Nintendo Switch Is Getting Extended Battery Life

Last week Nintendo had announced a new system into the family, the Nintendo Switch Lite. In addition to this, on the Nintendo Japan website, the flagship Nintendo Switch system will be getting an extended battery life for the newer models. Nothing else is mentioned other than the extended battery life. The extended battery life models are identifiable by the product serial number “XKW”. It is announced to be released in August 2019 for Japan, so hopefully it will be released in the west as well. The original switch battery lasts about 2.5 to 6.5 hours of gameplay and varies depending on the game. The Nintendo Switch Lite lasts about 3 to 7 hours, and the extended battery life Switch lasts approximately 4.5 to 9 hours. These approximations can be found on Nintendo’s website here.
