Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 officially announces its next season for the game, Operation Apocalypse Z. Its theme is spearheaded by the beloved Zombies Storyline that Treyarch has created and expanded upon these past couple of years.
Starting off with Multiplayer, fans are now able to play as the robotic specialist Reaper, once more, and not only on Blackout, as he and his Scythe are ready to rip the opposition to shreds.
You’ll be able to play as Reaper with the two new maps and a revival of a classic map.
Der Schatten, a small Austrian village that is at the foot of the mountain of where the Black Ops 3 zombie map, Der Eisendrache, takes place. You’ll be able fight among the wreckage of a giant robot and leaked Element 115.
Remnant, The Museum of Unnatural History that is located deep in the heart of the Louisana swamp will provide players with indoor action and interference from a cursed artifact being held there.
Havana, returning from the original Black Ops, players are fighting on the streets of the urban yet tropical city where revolution took place in the midst of the Cold War.
The Blackout battle royale game mode will also be receiving notable changes with the inclusion of The Haunting Fog which will shake things up for players and their strategies all while being dropped in the map, which is now having its life drained from it.
The Alcatraz: Nightfall variant for Blackout will be including the presence of Hellhounds and the Warden.
Of course with this new season being led by Zombies, it would only be natural for there to be a new map that will expand even further on the series’ story. Alpha Omega which continues the beloved Aether Storyline of the Zombies Universe, will feature both the Ultimus and the Primis characters to be playable as their timelines have converge.
Taking place in “Camp Edward” or Nuketown, the crews will fight off their undead enemies as they try to unravel the mysteries that lie there and surround Broken Arrow. Along the way, they will be taking on a new Nova 6-Crawler variant, but luckily the new and improved Ray Gun Mk. II will be there to save the day.
Operation Apocalypse Z will be launching on July 9 on Playstation 4 first, with other platforms to follow.
