Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Receiving New Characters and Nitro Tour Grand Prix on July 3
Recently released Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled will be receiving a huge update on July 3. Announced via the Activision Games Blog, this update will be fixing some problems and also add some new features to the game.
For starters, the PS4 version of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled had a problem where if players completed too many time trials, the saved data for the game could become corrupted. This update will patch the problem. It is advised that you avoid playing time trials until the issue is patched on July 3.
Players of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled on all platforms will also be able to receive a one time gift of 2,500 Wumpa Coins. This will begin this weekend and will last until July 4. To receive the 2,500 Wumpa Coins all a player has to do is access the Pit Stop while connected to the internet.
There will also be a variety of new content and features coming to Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled on July 3. New features like the Nitro Tour Grand Prix and the online leaderboards that it’ll be bringing with it are bound to make the replay value of the game even higher. The Grand Prix is a seasonal mode that will give players a certain amount of weeks to complete Nitro Tour challenges which are found in the Grand Prix menu in order to earn Nitro Points and unlock new content such as karts, skins, stickers, decals, paint jobs, and even Tawna who is a new character to the game. Once the season ends the content will no longer be available to earn in the Grand Prix mode, however, the content can later appear in the Pit Stop.
Speaking of the Pit Stop it will be getting a variety of new content added to it. The content being added includes new karts, characters, character skins, paint jobs, wheels, and karts stickers. All of which can be purchased using Wumpa Coins. The new characters that are being added to the Pit Stop are Ami, Megumi, Isabella, and Liz who are all from the “Nitro Squad.”
If you’re wanting a new track to race on Twilight Tour will have you covered as it is a brand new track that’s being added and will be available to play in both the Local Arcade and Online Multiplayer modes.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled was already a great game and we gave it an 8.7 in our review but with the new content that’s about to be added, it looks like it’s about to become even better. The update will be available on July 3 and you can read more about it on the Activision Games Blog.
