Halo Infinite may not be out until Holiday 2020 on the Xbox One, Xbox Scarlett, and PC but the game will be receiving multiple betas before launch. Announced on Halo Waypoint, Halo Infinite will have “opt-in flights.” These will be beta periods that players will be able to sign up for. 343 Industries plans to have the opt-in flights start small but get bigger leading up to release of the game. The opt-in flights will come first to Xbox and then a little later to PC.
Other details were announced as well, such as the fact Halo Infinite will take place after Halo 5: Guardians and will follow Master Chief’s story. Halo Infinite will also have splitscreen and support LAN for everyone wanting to have LAN parties.
For players of Halo: Reach who hit SR 152 you’ll receive a token of appreciation in Halo Infinite. For players who enjoyed the armor customization options of Halo: Reach, you’ll be happy to know that the customization options will be returning to Halo Infinite.
