Microsoft certainly picked up the slack for PlayStation not attending E3 this year as they had a ton of new game announcements and surprises. A total of 60 games was shown at the briefing, including 14 from Microsoft Game Studios. While many games that have already been seen before received new trailers like Battletoads, Ori: The Will of Wisps, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, many new games were announced that we’ve never seen before. Let’s take a look at the biggest news that came from the Xbox E3 2019 Briefing.

Outerworlds Receives New Trailer

Microsoft began the briefing by showing a brand new trailer for Obsidian Entertainment and Division 19’s new game The Outer Worlds. The Outer Worlds is an upcoming action-rpg which will have players exploring the furthest reaches of space when it releases October 25.

World Premiere Trailer for Bleeding Edge

Ninja Theory’s Bleeding Edge was then premiered. This is an upcoming 4v4 team based fighter that has players fighting the other team in an arena. They must use the environment of the arena along with unique loadouts they have equipped to give themselves and their teammates the edge in battle. The trailer took a look at some of the wild and creative looking fighters.

New Ori: The Will of Wisps Trailer

Ori and the Will of the Wisps received a new trailer showing off more of the games beautiful art direction and exciting gameplay. Players will be able to play this beautiful looking game themselves when it releases February 20, 2020. For now, this trailer will have to hold you over.

Minecraft Dungeons Releasing Spring 2020

While Minecraft Dungeons has been previously announced, this was the first time we’ve actually seen gameplay for it and it looks great! This dungeon crawler will have players traversing the world of Minecraft as they equip weapons, armor, and spells to take down recognizable enemies. Minecraft Dungeons features four-player co-op and gameplay representative to Diablo this is looking to be another hit set in the world of Minecraft when it’s released on Consoles and PC during the Spring of 2020.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Gets 2nd Trailer This Weekend

We’ve known about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for a while now, but this weekend we actually got to see gameplay in not one but two gameplay trailers. One shown at EA Play and the other shown at the Microsoft Briefing. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is scheduled to release for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on November 15.

Blair Witch Announcement Trailer

Blair Witch is looking to up the horror in survival horror. Developed by some of the creative people behind Layers of Fear, Blair Witch looks to take what made the movies so frightening and make a video game out of it. You can look forward to this vivid and sharp looking survival horror when it releases on August 30 for the Xbox One and PC.

Cyberpunk 2077 and Keanu Reeves

Cyberpunk 2077 revealed a new cinematic trailer which showed a much better look at the story than what was previously seen. In addition, the release date was also revealed and it’s for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on April 16, 2020. Keanu Reeves is also starring in the game as revealed at the end of the trailer.

Indie Games Galore

Microsoft showed a ton of indie games that would be on both the Xbox One and PC during their briefing. Including a few stand out titles, like Spiritfarer, RPG Time: The Legend of Wright, and Way to the Woods.

Spiritfarer is a management game with hand drawn graphics. The game has you playing as Stella who is a ferrymaster. Throughout the game, you build your ferry while befriending spirits and guiding hem across the sea to be eventually released into the afterlife. Spiritfarer will be available on console and PC in 2020.

RPG Time: The Legend of Wright is an RPG game that takes place in a notebook. That means as the majority of the game takes place in a notebook, the graphics in those sections will look like they are straight out of a junior high student’s notebook. Take a look for yourself and get ready to go back to school as RPG Time: The Legend of Wright is coming to Xbox One and PC in 2020.

In Way to the Woods, you control a deer and it’s fawn as they navigate an abandoned world in order to find their way back to the woods. It’s being developed by a solo person and the music is composed by the composers for Steven Universe. Way to the Woods is coming to Xbox One and PC sometime during 2020.

Battletoads

Battletoads are back and with three player co-op. Play play online with your friends or in the same room as your friends as Zitz, Pimple, and Rash are returning to introduce new players and old to the old school beat ’em up genre.

Xbox Game Pass News

Xbox Game Pass received some news today. Firstly Xbox Game Pass will be coming to PC for $4.99 a month. The games that are part of the Xbox Game Pass for PC are different than the games that are available for Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One. Microsoft also announced Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $14.99 a month. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold, and Xbox Game Pass for PC. This is the perfect subscription to get if you want to play all things Xbox.
